BORN DON DULO , POPPA DON IS A PERFORMING hip hop artist and happens to be one of the cornerstones of the new era of hip hop in Eas Africa.his uniqueness stems from his ability to rap across instrumentals in three languages fluently; English, Swahili and his native  language dholuo.Apart from the multilingual feat, poppa has a deep husky voice branding him as the rapper with the biggest voice in hip hop east Africa. His style is a twenty teen representation of what was pioneered by the lyrical duo gidi gidi majimaji in the early 2000’s under the mentorship of tedd Josiah. Poppa coined his style from that era of lyricism to forge his own identity with the need to understand oneself and project it boldly as it reflects ones identity. It is more thanm the lyrical aspect.it is a way of life that encourages the youth to develop a bold character that represents a model of possibility.

Meet MANDY , an Afro Soul music artist based in Nairobi, Kenya. With acquired skill and knowledge from studying music as a scholar all throughout her life she decided to venture into the music industry in 2012.  Her inspiration came from many African artists such as Papa Wemba ,Miriam Makeba , Yvonne Chakachaka , Brenda Fassie and The Jambo boys whose music she grew up listening to. She credits her friends as a source of inspiration for her written music since her music is based on personal experiences.She intends to write music that will last longer with generations .  In her own words, "Timeless music ." 

Mandy also hopes that people will be able to relate to her music .she has performed live in various events such as Paragasha . It is from her live performances that she has been able to acquire a fan base.

The song was live recorded at M G studios with the original creator of the guitar instrumental Jazzy Frank and the phenomenal Rickie Beat on the violin.It is an Afro soul love song seeking answers from a dominant question all throughout the song asking "How do you want to beloved?" and "Show me an example of how you want to be loved"

MANDY credits writing of her song to her friends' experiences from their relationships . The song seeks to show listeners in similar situations that they are not alone.The song's lyrics are purposefully written in a simple manner and with a  quite catchy chorus .lyrical prowess well showcased,this is indeed is a timeless song.

Chris Paxson Kamau (born November 10, 1991), better known by his stage name Versatile Kenya, is a Kenyan musician,actor, DJ and music producer.Paxson was raised in an area known as "k-south", a micro ghetto within the heart of Nairobi, Eastlands's area Piece community. His Mother gave him his first musical experience at a young age, bringing him to church to sing. He also cites the music of his uncle 'Wyre The Love Child as an early
influence.The boyhood idol became his mentor when at the age of 14,
Wyre took him under his wing to show him the ropes of the
music industry.

 

He decided to name himself "Versatile" under so much pressure from his high school friends from his way of writing: a variety of genres.His debut single, "Bounce" released in 2011, provided him slow but sure success. He further established himself with
the follow-up record “Inna 2012”, directed by DJ Aaron,CEO and producer of Hypemasters Ent. After a string of hits in 2011 and 2012, Versatile released the bounce video
which was an official re shoot that was featured heavily on R&B/hip-hop/reggae radio stations in Nairobi.In 2011, being among very few artist in Africa, alongside his uncle Wyre, Versatile started featuring in official riddims such as 'champion squad riddim' by the champion squad
records in Miami: Dj Reem and Dj Hypasnypa.
 

In 2012, he featured in three other riddims namely 'sweet reggae riddim' with song 'sweet love' , 'a-z riddim' with song 'turn up' produced by ke-m production in the U.S & the shell - born riddim with song " mi love yuh " produced by dj reem & dj hypersnypa of the championsquad which did quite well in 2012, the riddim featured artists such as, delly ranks, tony materhorn, fatts, sizzla, stein and many more.

 

Versatile is currently working with the label champion squad records based in the U.S & they have played a big role for the artiste in the international music world as his music now plays in the U.K, Bermuda, Jamaica among many more places, thus he has got to work with big producer names in the international dancehall riddim music business, names such as " Dj Karim (STAINLESS MUSIC) " who produced the hit riddim " swag team riddim , " Andre solid from U.K who produced the hit riddim starbucks riddim among many more.In 2012, Versatile was nominated for the 'chaguo la teeniez chat award' in the best Nu' artist category. A bright future for the young kenyan dancehall artiste VERSATILE. Some of his hit singles include, 'Bounce' , 'No More' , 'Me Like it' , 'Wacha Waseme' and 'Nakutaka' which happens to be the first released collaboration featuring a Mombasa based artist ,Tierra Gee and Angelina.

Beryl Nabby,describes herself as a  God fearing lady engaged in Gospel, ministry through Music which has been part of her life ever since I was a little girl.it all began in Sunday school,then to primary school ,and as she grew up she never abandoned her God given gift even throughout  her education.
