Meet MANDY , an Afro Soul music artist based in Nairobi, Kenya. With acquired skill and knowledge from studying music as a scholar all throughout her life she decided to venture into the music industry in 2012. Her inspiration came from many African artists such as Papa Wemba ,Miriam Makeba , Yvonne Chakachaka , Brenda Fassie and The Jambo boys whose music she grew up listening to. She credits her friends as a source of inspiration for her written music since her music is based on personal experiences.She intends to write music that will last longer with generations . Mandy also hopes that people will be able to relate to her music .she has performed live in various events such as Paragasha . It is from her live performances that she has been able to acquire a fan base.

Her debut single was written and performed by herself. The song was live recorded at M G studios with the original creator of the guitar instrumental Jazzy Frank and the phenomenal Rickie Beat on the violin.It is an Afro soul love song seeking answers from a dominant question all throughout the song asking "How do you want to beloved?" and "Show me an example of how you want to be loved"
MANDY credits writing of her song to her friends' experiences from their relationships . The song seeks to show listeners in similar situations that they are not alone.The song's lyrics are purposefully written in a simple manner and with a quite catchy chorus .lyrical prowess well showcased,this is indeed is a timeless song.
