Jovial was born and raised in Mombasa Coast Province . started singing at the age of 6 in Anglican Church of Kenya Kengeleni.  later on Jovial, started recording  at the age of 12 in Tears Records Studio which was not that highly recognised.

A few years down the line,she joined Big Sound Records where she did her first single "Mapenzi Kivyetu". The song did very well. She later moved to SQ Records where and did her second  "Hisia".

In 2013 she was able to record a single  Jiachilie featuring Juacali at Calif Records, Clemmo being the producer, Jiachilie did well compared to her other songs . Chanda chema is  another,well known hit from Jovial which she did at SQ Records with producer Amz 2015. 

Jovial mainly majors on  Afro fusion, and has been able to gather an influenced and entertained audience . here's her new single hitting the Airwaves " UNAKOSA RAHA"
